INFORMED CITIZENS MONITOR PREVENTION OF FUTURE HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AND THE WORK OF CROATIAN REPRESENTATIVE’S OFFICE BEFORE THE EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS

The main objectives are:

  • to encourage public dialogue on improving the legal framework preventing future violations of human rights due to intransparency of the conduct of the Office of Representative of the Republic of Croatia before the European Court of Human Rights, and inform the public about the implementation of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and action plans reporting to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe with public dialogue on mediation procedures led by the Republic of Croatia
  • to build a coalition of CSOs that monitors the work of the Office of Representative of the Republic of Croatia before the European Court of Human Rights and advocates greater transparency in the conduct of judgments and action plans in cases of secondary measures and settlements initiated, managed and concluded by the Office, which is not monitored by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe
  • to make available the reports of the Office of Representatives of the Republic of Croatia to the Government and Parliament, which deal with the topics through the prism of human rights protection in accordance with international standards.
